Dismal statistics show there are fewer female CEOs in healthcare, even though most workers are women

The US healthcare workforce is female-dominated, but healthcare companies’ C-suites are the complete opposite, a report from Oliver Wyman found.  Only 33% of senior leaders at healthcare companies are female, and just 13% of CEOs, the report found.  The nonprofit Time’s Up launched a new initiative, Time’s Up Healthcare, in February to focus on issues of inequality, sexual harassment and discrimination in healthcare.  Other factors also play into the disparity.
