Some Instagrammers are using the 9/11 tragedy to promote brands, products — and themselves

Instagrammers, including many style influencers, are posting images in New York and using 9/11-related hashtags to promote their own their own brands and products. Fashion influencers including Whitney Rife Becker, Ally Noriega, Katy Harrell and Lays Brenha, promoted themselves by tagging the startup LiketoKnow.It. People have hashtagged LuLaRoe, and local tanning salons, jewelry companies, and an installation parts supply all promoted their brands while claiming to commemorate 9/11.  Visit INSIDER’s homepage for more stories.
